Laura Watts


Laura Louise Watts, BA, Dipl.TCMP, R.Ac Laura (she/her) graduated with Honours from Humber College’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner program. She is a registered member of the Nova Scotia Association of Acupuncturists. Laura also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Trent University and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from George Brown College. She taught language in Canada and abroad for many years. While working in China, she became interested in Acupuncture after experiencing its profound effects first hand and seeing how well it integrates with Standard Western Medicine in hospital. As an educator, she is passionate about sharing the benefits of Chinese medicine and enjoys talking with clients about health and wellness. Laura developed her skills at Tzu Chi Clinic, the People with AIDS Foundation, interdisciplinary clinics, and internships with respected and experienced Chinese Medicine Practitioners. Her extensive clinical experience involves treating pain, headache, menstrual issues, fertility, menopausal symptoms, autoimmune diseases, digestive complaints, insomnia, fatigue, and mental health issues. There are many techniques that Laura uses to restore balance in the body, such as Acupuncture, Cupping, Tuina, Guasha, and Herbal Formulas. Her training in martial arts helps her sense and respond to energy patterns in the body. Each client is responded to as a whole person, resulting in a treatment plan unique for each client.
